Aspen was found by an eagle-eyed police office and then transported to the shelter. At the shelter, her doppelgänger animal control officer made her comfortable until she could be placed in a foster home. That foster home just happened to be with Bowe himself. Bowe and family fell in love with her and adopted her. Bowe said it was meant to be because Aspen was on the Bowe's Buddies logo before he even met her.
